A body orbiting around a planet is in equilibrium between two forces: the centrifugal force and the gravitational force
where Fc is the centrifugal force, Fg is the gravitational force, m1 is the mass of the orbiting body, m2 is the mass of the planet, v is the speed of the body while orbiting, r is the distance of the body from the center of the planet, G is the gravitational constant

The Earth map used in the UN flag: 33 sectors
A grid, probabl
y representing parallels and meridians, divides the Earth in 33 sectors. Another special number is 11, 33 being a multiple of it. You probably wonder what it means and what relation have these numbers with the Earth.
33 appears immediately as a particular number, being a palindrome. Moreover 3×3=9; 33×3=99… another palindromic digit I like is the number 12321. If you sum all digits, you’ll obtain 9 again. Read more
The following article is considering many phylosophic and literary subjects such as Anima Mundi, Vitalism , Panpsychism , perfect numbers , the measures of the Ark of the Covenant and other.
Ades and Flora
About Pi ( a film by Darren Aronofsky) I have already written in a previous article: it is a movie full of philosophical meanings and even of cosmogonic and mythological allusions. This time I would like to reconsider a crucial scene already commented , when Sol and Max are talking about the Japanese Go board as an image of the universe. In Sol’s kitchen, on the left of the fridge, hanging on the wall, there are at least two meaningful pictures : one is maybe a tribute to Flora, it is a floral pattern with spirals, and spirals are a sort of leit-motiv in the movie, and the other is the represention of a huntsman with three dogs, that you could easily connect, for instance, to Ades and Cerberos of the ancient Greek mythology.

Polaris is a particular star. It is almost exactly over the North Pole. This position makes this star perfect to do some calculation in relation to the Earth.
Sketchup is a 3D CAD software by Google. Many people do not consider it as a professional CAD but it has some good characteristics:
–It is free: you can easily download it from sketchup.com;
–It is simple to use and it enjoys of an excellent support on Internet with many tutorial videos;
–It doesn’t require a workstation but you can reach satisfactory results even without having dedicated graphic board installed on your PC.
When focusing the Earth, the sun, the dome… we’ll have to take into consideration the Universe geometry and its dimensions. By the help of a 3d model, set in the correct scale, and possibly an animation, we shall be able to have a better idea of this complex subject.
It would be great to have communication and interchange on the base of 3d components and keep in touch with many people able to use the CAD: sketchup allows an easy communication.
So let’s start with our model.
